Scarlett and Beauregard, pergrine falcons living on the ledge of a Baltimore skyscraper, hatch four chicks. One of the chicks --Perry-- is especially eager to grow up so he can fly from the nest and explore the world around him. Beauregard promises to take Perry on a tour of the city when he is old enough. That day finally comes, and the two birds fly off on their adventure.
