This English version was translated by Florence Crewe-Jones (1876-1940), an American translator. A boy named Remi had lost all of his relatives when he was a baby. However, after a few years living with a kind-hearted woman, he had to follow a small troupe leaded by a man called Vitali and went to all regions in France to perform. And after the death of his old leader, while going around the country with the troupe, he suddenly found his lost family and lived happily ever after.
