Leo asked to read it again in the car. Since the book interests him, I spend time researching the author’s life to find out what inspired the author and what else she has published. I have learned that there is a whole series book about Oliver and his little sister Amanda pig. The stories were inspired by the author’s own two kids when they were small, aged 2 and 1. The mother wrote down what her kids were doing and saying so she wouldn’t forget. And these stories grew into the Oliver pig book series.
