At age 34,Amelia Frahm was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her children were two and four years old. Although her prognosis was excellent, Frahm was surprised to discover her attitude didn't always reflect the gratitude she felt. Instead she was tired, moody and the very medicine she needed to help save her life contributed to her behavior.
Unable to find a children's book that addressed the issues her family faced, she wrote one.
Frahm's a seven-year breast cancer survivor and this year she became the daughter of a breast cancer survivor. She's also a full-time Mom, part-time public relations consultant and owner of the Nutcracker Publishing Company.
Frahm grew up in the Florida Panhandle. Educated at the University of Florida, Gainesville, she holds a Public Relations Degree in Journalism. She's written and implemented public relations presentations from Tennessee to Texas on such diverse issues as nuclear power and recreational activities for nursing home residents.
Today Amelia Frahm resides in Hutchinson, Minnesota with her husband Randy and their children, Tabitha and Jordan.About the Author
