The gold rush in California is one of the biggest gold rush in the history, where thousands of people rush to the west and also accomplished much more than just gold, but let's start all from the bargaining. First, there are a farm who found a piece of gold in a water channel and the news soon spread. When people heard the news, they hurried from all over the USA to get the gold because they know that the gold will not last forever, soon other people will mine them, so they hurried both from land, and water (there are no air planes back than) to the west coast, and that's how the rush started. When it became hotter and hotter, there started to be some small towns appear, one of them is San Fransisco where there are previously only 5000 people living, and after the rush, the population not just doubled or tripled, but it's 100 times more! Also, there are also many people hurried to California from other countries, there are also many people rushing from China for money, but they have to follow strict rules, they need to mine in abandoned mineshafts to mine in where people can only found little amount of gold. Also, the gold rush also accomplished the railroads that connected the west and east and also some little towns in the middle that give supplies. Also the gold rush also encourages an unexpected thing, the Panama cannel where people can do a shortcut from east coast to the west. The gold rush made the USA treasury full of gold, and people was happy about it. Just a fact related to this California gold rush is that actually there are also many other smaller gold rush before and after the California gold rush, and one of the most famous of those smaller ones are the Alaska gold rush, but because of the gold weather, there are much less people participating in that gold rush.
