Josh, Dink and Ruth Rose went to visit Ruth Rose’s Grandmother. Dink heard a man with a hairy ankle had a tattoo of an eagle’s head, whispering about taking the dough, drowning the goose, and loading cookies.
The children met Spike and Chip. Chip told them that Spike and he were treasure hunting and showed them Spanish coins that were almost 400 years old.
Then, the children went to Mel Fisher Museum by a trolly. When they got home for lunch, Gram told them that her special company were Spike and Chip.
Gram tried to invest ten thousand dollars to Spike and Chip for the treasure they found.
In the investing seminar, Spike and Chip showed a gold cross, a silver hunk, and gold coins. However, Dink smelled something rotten. He recognized Spike’s voice.
First, the children needed to find out if it really was Spike that Dink heard. They needed to get Spike to show them his tattoo.
The children went to the beach to swim and watch the boat at the same time. However, they didn’t see Spike’s tattoo, they saw the name of the boat, Golden Goose. They wanted to hang a poster announced a tattoo contest.
The children hung the poster on the light pole. Then, they went on the Golden Goose. Spike and Chip were not on the boat, so the children checked and snooped the Golden Goose.
When Golden Goose began to move, the children pulled the trapdoor open and scampered down into the boat’s hold. Suddenly, Dink saw a tattoo of an eagle’s head on Spike’s ankle through the trapdoor crack.
Spike and Chip stroke the boat with an ax. Then, they took off by a dinghy. The children jumped into the ocean as the Golden Goose sunk.
The children were rescued by the coast guards. Then, they got a reward from a museum. Finally, their dreams were all granted.
