【臺詞】
"Oh no!" Tom yelled.
The trout was very strong.
It flopped back into the water.
Jeremy's rod flew through the air.
So did Jeremy and Tom!
Splash! Splash!
Tom and Jeremy climbed back on the boat.
Tom looked at his wet clothes.
"Mother will be very angry," he said.
Jeremy started paddling the boat again.
"I don't like fishing," Tom said.
"Me neither," Jeremy said.
"Shall we look for flowers now?"
Tom looked down. His clothes were a mess.
"Oh, I have another idea!" he said.
Tom ran home.
Mrs. Twitchit's friends were there.
Everyone was sipping tea.
"Tom!" Mrs. Twitchit said.
"You're all wet.
And where are the flowers?"
Tom smiled.
"I couldn't find any flowers, Mother.
But I have a better surprise."
Tom reached into his pocket.
He pulled out . . . wiggling worms!
Mittens and Moppet giggled.
Mrs. Twitchit's friends laughed.
Everyone liked Tom's surprise—except Mother!
