Dink, Josh, Ruth Rose, and Nate went to a Panda petting zoo. After Tom Steele, Irene Napper, and Flip Frances’ speech, the mother panda charged the fence and threw her body against the metal rails. They found a ransom note.
The kidnapper asked one million bucks for Winnie. The children found a fishing knife and a stalk of bamboo that the top had been sliced neatly off.
The children checked out the camcorder. They saw Ping rushing forward Tom Steele, Irene Napper, and Flip Frances. One of those three people kidnapped Winnie, and Ping knew which one.
They decided to interview the three people. After interviewing, they still had no proofs.
They thought they should be looking for Winnie, not the guy who took her. The kidnapper probably hid Winnie where it was already noisy and he’d keep her nearby. The fitness center would be a perfect place to hide her.
They went to the fitness center and checked the corridor out. They found a trapdoor under a mat.
As they were in the coal cellar, the trapdoor slammed shut. They found the coal chute.
Dink smacked the wood that covered the chute with a shovel. After the wood shattered, the children piled a small mountain of coal, then Dink and Josh boosted Ruth Rose through the chute for help.
Flip was the kidnapper. He probably went to jail for attempting to extort money. However, the judge might ask him to do community service in place of some of his jail time.
