03-05-2013 TIME MACHINE

 I stepped into the enormous, smoking, and black time machine and I didn’t know such a wonderful and mysterious journey was waiting for me. As soon as the time machine’s door closed steadily and slowly, a loud buzzing noise started to roar like a furious thunder. An amazing beam of light pierced through me like an X-ray. My stomach leapt up to my throat. Sweat was running down my face like a wild waterfall. My heart was fluttering. I was wondering where the time machine would take me. 

 Before I knew it, I was back in the 18th century. When I leaped out the time machine, the air was fresher than a just picked apple, crispier than potato chips, and sweeter than candy. The world seemed like a green garden in the early spring. The sight was magnificent! In the middle of the valley and on the surface of the lake, some leaves danced gracefully while the wind whistled a gentle melody. 
  
On the top of the hill, bat –shaped gliders were floating through the air. Gliding in the air seemed fun and easy but actually it was dangerous if you didn’t have any training. Luckily, I was trained last fall. This would be a great chance to practice my skills and have some fun.I thought, “How could I get a glider?” My eyes suddenly spotted a sign next to a massive tree casting a titanic shadow. It said “Rent Here!” I shouted” YYAAYY PEEEEEE!” and raced to the renting area and got a tannish glider. I know it was going to be a risky adventure but I was determined to try it. 
  
 I hopped onto the glider and my feet trudged forward with all my might. When I finally got to the edge, my feet curled up and got in the pocket on the glider.It started gliding through the air. Right at the very moment I was enjoying the unbelievable landscape, the glider seemed to have its own mind and flew straight to the time machine. Bang! Bang!We crashed into the time machine. As quick as a wink, I was back in the modern times sitting in the glider. I took a deep breath and whispered to myself “It was a great adventure! Best of all, I got to keep the glider as a grand prize.” 

The next morning, I drove my glider to school. I’m still not really sure how to steer it. My brain kept telling me, “You’re going to cash into a million pieces.”I was more nervious than a rabbit under a tiger’s chest. I landed in a chimney that wasn’t smoking. A kid began to yell with excitement, “A kid is on the roof with an antique glider!” Everybody crowded around the building. The roof was so high that a firefighter had to get me down. Now my glider is safely kept in my garage. Would you like to try my glider today?
