胡桃夾子的故事有很多版本，但是這一本很獨特，因為作者是站在芭蕾舞劇的角度敘述這個故事。其實胡桃夾子的芭蕾舞劇才更令這個故事名聲遠揚吧。繪本里概括了每個有名的芭蕾場景，所以每一頁都讓看過這出芭蕾舞劇的女兒很是與我心有戚戚焉。
