People say you decide whether like it or not the moment when you saw the first page...That's the reason I bought it. It is a very touching story about a 12-y-o boy named Michael Arroyo, who also was a starting pitcher in his team. He and his brother kept a big secret from everyone else. His 17-y-o brother worked two jobs to survive both of them. Michael used to listen to radio on game days or sat outside the Yankee Stadium alone imagining what was going on inside since they could not afford a TV set or a ticket. The Yankee Stadium, his big dream, standing in front of him was as big as life. So he worked so hard to make his dream and he became the best in District 22...but problems came along Rival coaches and players couldn't believe a boy could be this good and be only 12-y-o. Michael was demanded to prove that he was only 12---no mother no father no birth certificate, he was suspended until he got the birth certificate which was a thousand times harder to get. Yes Michael was too good and they were acting like that was bad. In the end Michael made his dream. Standing inside the Stadium, "Michael went into his perfect windup and threw strike one. Now the cheer from inside the Yankee Stadium was for him." And now tears is trickling my cheeks.
