After reading it, I listened to Malala's speech at the united nations. I don't know much about her before I read the book. But now I began to understand. Now, I think I truly understood how those people had felt during the terrorism. I've also read other books that have similar backgrounds. There's one called A Thousand Bright Suns,it is about a girl living under the same terrorism. In that book, life is really hard. There is also a story about a girl who is going home after school and got bombed. The most terrible part of the story is that the girl was blasted into pieces and it was a month or maybe weeks later when one of her feet was found on a rooftop. Well, I do know how important education is, for most girls, especially. She's right! Yes, a child, a pen, a book , a teacher can change the world. She will keep fighting, I think she will be good political leader. We have to change education for the whole world. And we have to make sure that we don't waste our education. Can we do that? (展開)

Malala Yousafzai is a brave, young girl who stood up for education. She is from Pakistan, where more respect were paid upon men. Women were expected to stay at home and cook, care for their husband, father or brothers. But Malala had came from a family who supported her and wanted her to be educated rather than staying at home. It is already hard breaking the tradition The and letting girls go to school and learn like boys do, and when the Taliban controls Swat, the village of Malala, her family is in danger. Malala father, Ziauddin, is no ordinary, for that he spoken against the Taliban and was not afraid to hide it. He had given so many speeches about children's educational rights and attended important meetings as a leader. From a young age, Malala wanted to be a politician and she was very impacted by his father. As she grew up, she too, gave speeches against the rule that girls must not be educated the Taliban set. She continued to go to school although her whole family had been threatened. And one day, she was shot in her school bus, and miraculous survived. Until this day, she is still setting an excellent example for young girls who wanted education.
I was amazed about how brave Malala is, she almost sacrificed herself for girl's educational rights. Thanks goodness we have heroes and heroines like Malala to fight villains like the Taliban. Human beings are just complicated, I mean, how could the Taliban be so cruel! I learned a lot about the poor people and the reality in this autobiography, it makes me feel sad for those who weren't so lucky like me. I have never really thought about those who didn't have access to education, or clean water, those are the things we got since we are a baby. Why is the world unfair? I had asked a thousand times and never found the answer I wanted, maybe it's just how it is, it will never be fair. Yet Malala made an effort, and that's what makes her a heroine. (展開) |
