Grade 7th Student Led Conferences

真快，7年級最后一次的Student Led Conferences來臨了。什么也不說了，看孩子自己怎么說吧。 

Dear Parents, 

I think that as a learner, I am independent and can learn well by myself. However, if I am not very interested in a topic, I will slack off a bit. If I am interested in that subject, I will work to my absolute best to achieve that goal. I am a person that can have a lot of eruptive power and work for a short period of time with effectiveness. However, I cannot work for a long period of time. My worst habit is that I procrastinate too much, so I’m working on getting my work done early rather than doing it the last day. I learn best when I have to do a project based on the knowledge I've learnt. The subjects I enjoy are Orchestra, Elective and Math. Elective is a new experience every quarter, and I enjoy it very much. I love viola and math! I am ok with the rest of the subjects, but I struggle a lot in P.E. because of my terrible and disappointing fitness results. However, I will try to improve on my P.E fitness next year. 

I have grown a lot this year, both physically and mentally. I grew over 8 centimeters this year! Also I've seen many more dark things about this world and learned that life isn't always fair. I don’t fool around that much compared to 6th grade and I have learnt to take responsibility of myself and what I do. I was awesome in 7th grade because I got a high score on the math MAP and joined the Fiddler On the Roof Camera Crew. One thing that I did this year that was really hard but I’m glad I experienced was the Interdisciplinary Week Project. It was challenging for our group to work together since we don’t know each other well, but at the end, I made 3 new friends! Also we learned how hard the China Alive trips’ planning were to do.  

I want to improve on my attitude towards subjects next year. Instead of looking at subjects like they are homework and my responsibility, I will push myself to look at all subjects like they are my interest and I am passionate about them. This way I think I can do way better, because I try hard in things that I like. You can support me better in my learning by understanding that I do have a lot of homework sometimes. Especially when I’m doing several projects at the same time, I get a lot of work done and you should stop thinking that I waste time too much.
