This book is a more simple version of Shakespeare’s stories. It summarizes his stories and then lay it out in the modern English. It is indeed like fairy tales, with both comedies and tragedies. The spirit Shakespeare constructed was virtue. Yes, the hero is always the main character, and this might not seem true, but virtue is what makes up the stories.
I enjoyed the stories as I read them one at a time. They have certain similarities, though they all have different characters or heroes. It is like a mature version of the fairy tales I’ve read when I was younger. My favorite story is the famous “Romeo and Juliet” because of the couple’s determination and bravery. It is a sad ending, but at least it brings the families together. I want to say to Romeo and Juliet: “Hope you have a good time together in heaven, and good job!”
